6th July, 2026 – World Zoonoses Day!

World Zoonoses Day is observed on July 6th every year. It is a global awareness day dedicated to raising awareness about zoonotic diseases such as rabies.

Rabies is a 100% vaccine-preventable disease. Individuals must receive the complete course of vaccination to gain complete protection against the disease That’s why vaccinating stray dogs matters so much—it doesn’t just protect them; it protects entire communities.

Today, we also take a moment to thank the veterinarians, healthcare workers, and doctors who work every day to keep zoonotic diseases in check. Due to their dedication, animals and humans get to live safer, healthier lives.

At CCC (Canine Control and Care), we work with the primary objective of controlling the stray dog population by sterilising dogs and immunising them against rabies. We also conduct FREE ARV (anti-rabies vaccination) drives for stray dogs across Pune city.

In support of the global mission to eliminate rabies by 2030, CCC is conducting FREE Rabies Awareness Training Sessions for schools, colleges, offices, hospitals, and government offices.
